John Mosser Public Library District

The time has come once again for John Mosser’s annual Summer Reading program! This years theme is “Level Up at Your Library”. The 2025 summer reading program is available to all children through 8th grade. Registration is available here, on our Facebook page, and in the youth department.

Starting Tuesday, July 3rd 2025, children will earn one “Book Buck” for each page they read and can use those “Book Bucks” to purchase prizes from the General Store in the community room in the library. Book Buck slips can be found in the youth department, on our Facebook page, or online here. One slip will be drawn every Friday for a Special prize! For every child who reads 500 pages or more, their names will be put into a special drawing for a prize at the closing party donated by friends off the library!

Double Book Buck Friday

Come read at the library on Fridays for double Book Bucks! Special slips will be available in the youth department. Children receive double Book Bucks for each page they read while in the library.

Story time (Preschool age): Tuesday’s 11:15-11:45am

Story hour (Children through 8th grade): Wednesday’s 4-5pm

Sunday: Closed

Monday: Closed

Tuesday: 10-5

Wednesday: 3-7

Thursday: Closed

Friday: 3-5

Saturday: 10-1

Just the facts!

All overdue items must be returns before children can participate. Children will not be allowed to participate if they have overdue or missing items
Children count every page they read. Book slips may be filled out weekly- no need to fill out a slip for each book.
Audio books count!
Comics count!
Graphic novels count!
Children do not need their own library card, but someone in the household does for the child to be able to participate
