It’s that time of year again for John Mosser Public Library’s summer reading program! This year the theme is, “Plant a Seed, Read”!

Starting Tuesday June 2nd, 2026 all children through 8th grade can earn 1 “Book Buck” for every page they read or have read to them!

At the end of summer reading, they can use all their earned book bucks toward our general store in the youth department’s community room!

Earn Double book bucks every Friday when you come read in the youth department

Book Buck slips can be found in the youth department or pinned to our Facebook page! Book Bucks must be signed by a parent or guardian to count.

One Book Buck slip will be drawn each week for a child to win a special prize from one of our donors!

Any child who reads 500 or more pages will have their name entered into a special drawing at the end of the summer reading closing party! The closing party will be held on Wednesday July 15th 2026 from 5pm-6pm.
